Civmec secures A$285m in new contracts across key sectors

The company says the latest wins reflect a period of increased tender activity and reinforce its focus on long-term revenue growth.

Civmec Limited has secured approximately A$285m in new contract awards and extensions, strengthening its order book across materials handling, infrastructure, and maintenance services.

The company says the latest wins reflect a period of increased tender activity and reinforce its focus on long-term revenue growth.

Among the key awards is a project for Port Waratah Coal Services, involving the design, fabrication, and installation of a new shiploader at the Kooragang Terminal in New South Wales.

The scope also includes the decommissioning and removal of the existing shiploader. Civmec expects the project to create more than 100 specialist roles and involve significant subcontractor engagement. Delivery is scheduled for 2028.

In addition, Civmec has been engaged to refurbish an existing shiploader for Port Waratah, with structural and mechanical works to be completed in 2025.

Civmec has also secured a contract to support Iluka Resources’ Eneabba rare earths refinery—Australia’s first integrated facility for producing separated rare earth oxides.

The contract includes the design and construction of 30 field-erected tanks and over 11,000m³ of civil concrete works. Completion is expected in 2026.

Separately, Civmec reported more than A$40m in new maintenance services contracts in Q3 of FY25, aligned with its expansion into Port Hedland and Gladstone to meet growing client demand.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.
The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.
If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
