NODX contracted 2.9% month-on-month in March 2011

On a year-on-year basis, however, NODX rose by 10%, following the 6.9% increase in the previous month.

According to International Enterprise Singapore, the year-on-year rise in NODX is due to non-electronic NODX.

On a y-o-y basis, electronic NODX contracted by 14% due to parts of ICs, disk drives and parts of PCs. Non-electronic NODX expanded by 25%, following the 18% in the previous month. The rise was led by ships and boats, specialised machinery and promary chemicals.

On a m-o-m SA basis, NORX decreased by 2.1%, following the 4.2% decline in the previous month.

On a y-o-y basis, NORX expanded by 2.6% in March 2011, after the 6.8% increase in the previous month, due to both electronic and non-electronic NORX.
