SIIC Environment expands operations with new projects in H1
The group was tapped for several wastewater treatment developments in China.
SIIC Environment Holdings Ltd. reported new projects and contracts for wastewater treatment developments in China in the first half of 2025.
One of these contracts is a concession agreement with Beiliu City Urban Management Supervision Bureau for the Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant 3rd Phase Project in Beiliu City, with a designed treatment capacity of 60,000 tonnes per day.
Another project commissioned is a wastewater treatment project in Shanghai. The project commenced commercial operations in January 2025, with a designed capacity of 25,000 tonnes per day.
The group also has a new operation and maintenance project, the Fengxian Western Wastewater Treatment Plant 4th Phase in Shanghai. It began operations in March 2025 and has a designed capacity of 100,000 tonnes per day.
For upgrading projects, there were two upgrading and expansion projects located in Sichuan and Heilongjiang Provinces completed and have commenced operations, contributing a combined designed treatment capacity of 31,000 tonnes per day. There was also an upgrading and expansion project in Shandong Province with a designed capacity of 30,000 tonnes per day.
Lastly, the project in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region with a designed treatment capacity of 80,000 tonnes per day was granted a concession extension from its original expiry date of 22 December 2034 to 21 May 2043.
According to the group, these projects further strengthen its market presence and operational scale, reflecting the group’s continued efforts and achievements in wastewater treatment.
