iEdge Singapore Next 50 index sees higher turnover in Q3

Collectively, the 50-stock index maintained a combined market capitalisation of $87b.

Nine in 10 constituents of the iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index recorded higher average daily trading turnover in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the first half, the Singapore Exchange (SGX) said.

Valuations also improved, with nine in 10 stocks seeing their price-to-book ratios rise. The index’s median price-to-book climbed from 0.92 times at end-June to 1.12 times as of 24 September.

Collectively, the 50-stock index maintained a combined market capitalisation of $87b and a year-to-date average daily turnover of $160b.

SGX highlighted Food Empire Holdings as a notable driver of activity after the company completed a $42.8m treasury share placement on 24 September. The move lifted Food Empire’s average daily turnover to $1.8m YtD, from $1.1m in the first half and $670,000 in 2024.

Other constituents that registered strong gains in both liquidity and valuation included PropNex, Banyan Tree Holdings, China Aviation Oil Singapore, China Sunsine, Hong Leong Asia, Pan-United Corp, CSE Global, Boustead Singapore, and UOB-Kay Hian Holdings.

Net institutional inflows for the index reached $45m in the third quarter, led by iFAST Corp, Yangzijiang Financial Holding, UOB-Kay Hian Holdings, Suntec REIT, and PropNex, according to SGX.
