SGX securities trading turnover up 25% YoY to $29.7b in March


SDAV also increased by 25% YoY to $1.5b.

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) reported a 25% year-on-year (YoY) increase in securities market turnover value to $29.7b in March, driven by strong trading activity.

The securities daily average value (SDAV) also rose 25% YoY to $1.5b, marking the highest level since May 2022. The average securities net clearing fee for the first quarter of 2025 stood at 2.58 basis points.

In the derivatives segment, traded volume increased 14% YoY to 27.4 million contracts, whilst derivatives daily average volume (DAV) climbed 12% YoY to 1.3 million contracts.

Moreover, futures volume also jumped 80% YoY to 2.4 million contracts, including a record single-day notional of $7.96b (US$5.92b) on 21 March. Total futures volume on SGX FX increased by 53% to 6.6 million contracts.
