Singapore is working on how to implement a policy to cut off web access for public servants as a defence against potential cyber attack - a move closely watched by critics who say it marks a retreat for a technologically advanced city-state that has trademarked the term "smart nation". The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has officially launched its FinTech Innovation Lab today; located within the MAS building. The fintech incubator is christened the “Looking Glass@MAS” after the famous Lewis Caroll book “Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found in There.” Find out more here.

Disruption was a strong focus of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s National Day Rally speech for 2016, his first since SG50.
