Singtel net profit soars 317% to $2.9b in Q1
The data centre business is expected to grow in FY2026.
Singtel reported a net profit of $2.9b for the quarter ended 30 June 2025, up 317% from $690m a year earlier.
The telecommunications giant attributed the sharp rise primarily to exceptional gains of $2.20b, mainly from the partial sale of its stake in Airtel and the Intouch-Gulf Energy merger.
Underlying net profit rose 14% (17% on a constant currency basis), supported by stronger earnings from Optus, NCS, Airtel, and AIS.
Group CEO Yuen Kuan Moon said the company is on track to meet its growth targets under the Singtel28 plan.
He also expects the data centre business to perform well in FY2026 with new facilities opening in Thailand and Singapore.
