Mapletree Logistics Trust to acquire 3 logistics assets in Malaysia and Vietnam

The REIT estimates a $234m total acquisition cost.

The Mapletree Logistics Trust (MLT) has announced plans to acquire three Grade A warehouses in Malaysia and Vietnam. 

The REIT estimates the total acquisition cost to be $234m.

The acquisitions will increase MLT's exposure in Malaysia and Vietnam and deepen its network connectivity in these growth markets.

MLT also expects the acquisitions to be accretive to its Distribution per Unit on a historical pro forma basis.

MLT expects the Malaysia property to yield an initial net property income (NPI) of  5.7% and the other assets in Vietnam around 7.5%. 

The estimates are based on the agreed property values of MYR558.8m ($137.25m) and VND1,254,523m ($68.50m), respectively.
