Charge+ launches direct current fast charger for EVs

This is the first direct current fast charger deployed in Singapore.

Charge+ launched Singapore’s first Direct Current (DC) fast charger in a Housing & Development Board (HDB) surface carpark.

DC chargers are designed for EV drivers who clock above-average driving distances and may need to charge more than once per day as compared to alternating current (AC) chargers that are adequate for overnight charging.

The DC charger model has a low-noise operation, making it suitable for installation near housing blocks.

Charge+ will expand its DC network in HDB surface carparks to six more carparks located at Beach Road, Bukit Merah, Bukit Panjang, Ghim Moh, Jurong East, and Kallang Bahru, all to be completed by mid-2025.

Currently, Charge+ operates over 1,300 charging points deployed across Singapore.
