COE premium for small cars ramps down $1,828 to $51,506

Prices are down by 3.4%.

September’s first open bidding for COEs saw premium for small cars sliding 3.4% or $1,828 to $51,506, compared to $53,334 at the end of August. It is also lower than the $52,503 COE price for category A vehicles during the first bidding last month.

Bidding results also showed that COE price for the open category dropped $67 to $56,889.

The rest of the categories posted price surges with goods vehicle and bus nabbing the largest increase $1,800 to $49,801.

Premium for cars above 1600CC or 97KW rose $502 to $57,002, while motorcycle price inched up $100 to $6,452.
