ComfortDelGro unit acquires UK-based CMAC Group for $135.4m

CMAC is a ground transport management and accommodation network specialist.

CityFleet Networks, ComfortDelGro’s wholly-owned subsidiary, has acquired UK-based ground transport management and accommodation network specialist CMAC Group for $135.4m.

Following the acquisition of CMAC, ComfortDelGro now has mobility services in 12 countries worldwide.

CMAC’s operations cover the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and the Netherlands, managing disruptions and journeys for about three million travellers annually on behalf of airlines, ground handlers, train operators, and companies.

Through its Suntransfers brand, CMAC manages private and ride-share transfers to over 500 airports, bus and train stations, and ports worldwide.

“The acquisition of CMAC means we not only achieve a meaningful expansion of our footprint in the UK and entry into several new countries in Europe but also acquire an extensive network of transport operators, strengthening our point-to-point transport solutions as well as growing our customer base,” said ComfortDelGro’s Chairman, Mark Greaves.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
