LTA enables Amex contactless fare payments for public transport
Commuters can now use Amex for transport with no extra fees.
Starting 15 May, commuters can use their American Express (Amex) cards to make contactless payments for public transport fares without additional fees, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) reported.
Commuters can also add the cards to their mobile wallets without having to pre-register their cards for public transport rides.
Similar to retail transactions, charges for public transport rides are reflected in the commuter’s credit, charge, debit or prepaid card bills.
