LTA to raise ERP rates by $1 at five expressways
The affected stretches include segments of the AYE, CTE, and PIE.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will raise Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates by $1 at five expressway locations during seven peak-hour time slots, starting 1 September 2025.
The adjustment follows LTA’s recent monitoring in July 2025, which observed traffic congestion during specific periods.
The affected stretches include segments of the AYE, CTE, and PIE, with the rate changes applying only during targeted time bands.
For example, motorists using the AYE (after Jurong Town Hall Road towards the city) between 7:30am and 8 am will see ERP charges increase from $3.00 to $4.00.
LTA stated that the adjustments are part of ongoing efforts to manage peak-period congestion and maintain optimal traffic flow. Rates at other locations and times remain unchanged, and the overall number of charged gantries and time slots remains below pre-COVID levels.
LTA will continue to monitor traffic conditions—particularly along the northbound CTE and southbound KPE—and may review rates again if congestion patterns persist.
