Singapore and Netherlands to establish container tracking service

This is Singapore’s second agreement under the Track and Trace Service.

There will soon be a container track and trace service between Singapore and the Netherlands.

The service aims to provide “importers and exporters with enhanced visibility over their containerised cargo, enabling them to monitor its status and location effortlessly as it traverses between Singapore and the Netherlands.”

In establishing the service, the customs administrations of each nation will integrate data from various sources, including port and terminal operations and customs-related events for containerised shipments between the Port of Singapore and the Port of Rotterdam.

Singapore Customs and CAN will work with key stakeholders, including the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore, PSA Corporation Ltd, the Port of Rotterdam, and Portbase, to ensure seamless integration and near real-time tracking.
