EV drivers can fully charge their vehicles in 30 minutes at any of SP’s charging points located at commercial buildings, industrial sites and educational sites. The points are also close to amenities such as food centres to offer drivers convenience whilst waiting for their vehicles to be charged.

According to SP, there are two direct current (DC) and two alternating current (AC) chargers at each of its locations in Techplace 1, Hyflux Innovation Centre, Techlink, Corporation Place, The Kendall and The Capricorn. There are 4 of each charges at the Alexandra Technopark, whilst three of each are located at Singapore Polytechnic.

The SP charging points at Singapore Polytechnic will also serve as an education and research platform as part of Singapore Polytechnic’s engineering curriculum to train students and adult learners, the firm revealed.

To use the charging points, EV drivers can use the SP Utilities mobile application to search for the nearest available charging point, receive updates of their charging sessions and make payments.

The cost of using the SP charging points will be regularly adjusted based on the prevailing electricity costs in Singapore, the firm noted.
