Golden-Agri’s profit sinks 44% YoY despite revenue and EBITDA gains

Revenue and EBITA rose 5% YoY and 4% YoY, respectively.

Golden-Agri's net profit fell 44% YoY to US$102m in H1 2024, impacted by higher financial expenses and unrealised foreign exchange losses.

The company’s other financial metrics like revenue, gross profit, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), however, improved.

Revenue in H1 rose 5% YoY to US$5.1b due to expanded sales volume. 

Meanwhile, gross profit improved 4% YoY to US$920m.and EBITA increased 4% YoY to US$495m.
