Changi Airport awards T5 tunnels contract to Penta-Ocean and Koh Brothers
Through Koh Brothers’s subsidiary, the group holds a 30% equity stake in the joint venture.
Changi Airport Group (CAG) has awarded the contract for Terminal 5 (T5) intra-terminal tunnels to a joint venture between Penta-Ocean Construction and Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor.
Through Koh Brothers’s subsidiary, Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor, the group holds a 30% equity stake in the joint venture.
The $999m tunnels will serve as underground connections within T5, supporting the efficient transfer of passengers and baggage whilst also facilitating the routing of common utilities.
It will comprise a series of sub-tunnels that will house key infrastructure including the Automated People Mover System and Baggage Handling System and the Common Services Tunnel.
The construction is expected to take more than four years.
