Flights handled by Changi Airport predicted to hit 1,000 per day

This forecast is by end-2013.

According to CIMB, in Jun-Aug 2013, the average growth of both flights and passengers handled was strong at about 7% yoy, bringing YTD average growth to about 5.5% (higher than 1H13’s 4.6%). 

CIMB said that based on the impact of the weaker currencies in Jun-Aug 2013, we forecast that Changi Airport’s flights handled will reach 343,900 (1,000 per day) and passengers handled will reach 54.2m (5.2m per month) by end-2013.
