SATS secures handling for Air Canada’s Singapore service

Air Canada will roll out four weekly flights connecting Singapore and Vancouver.

SATS clinched a passenger, ramp, and cargo handling contract from  Air Canada, which will resume flights to Changi International Airport for the first time in over 30 years.

Starting 4 April, the airline will introduce four weekly Boeing 787-9 flights between Vancouver and Singapore, marking the sole non-stop service linking the two countries.

SATS manages all Star Alliance partners in Singapore, offering Air Canada smooth passenger and cargo links from Singapore to major Southeast Asian airports.

The contract also extends Air Canada’s global partnership with SATS and   Worldwide Flight Services (WFS).

“This is another significant business win for SATS Group at Changi Airport, reinforcing the good and longstanding partnership with Air Canada as a major customer of WFS. Air Canada and its customers will benefit from our combination of operational excellence and global network connectivity,” Bob Chi, CEO of Gateway Services at SATS, said.
