Singapore Airlines and Silkair strike deal with Changi Airport

Collaboration aims to offer tourists affordable travel packages as low as S$60.

Singapore Airlines and SilkAir have partnered Changi Airport Group (CAG) to offer even more value-packed holiday deals that show off the best of Singapore.

Under the global tie-up, customers of Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will be able to enjoy attractive hotel rates with Singapore Stopover Holiday packages, priced from as low as S$60.

“With the dynamism injected into Singapore’s tourism scene by the numerous developments in recent years, there has never been a better time to visit. To enable more visitors to experience Singapore’s newest and most exciting offerings, we have gone one step further to provide even more attractive holiday offers,” said Mr Tan Chik Quee, Singapore Airlines’ Senior Vice-President Marketing.

At S$60, these packages offer excellent value for Singapore Airlines and SilkAir customers especially when bundled with complimentary transfers between hotels and the airport, unlimited rides on the SIA Hop-on Bus, and complimentary admission to eight key attractions: Sentosa Island Resort, National Orchid Garden, Singapore River Bumboat Tour, Jurong BirdPark, Singapore Zoo, Chinatown Heritage Centre, The Battle Box at Fort Canning and Marina Bay Golf driving range; all worth at least S$133.

In addition, customers can enjoy a host of privileges and discounts on dining, shopping, lifestyle, transport and other activities simply by presenting their Singapore Airlines or SilkAir boarding pass, under the Boarding Pass Privileges programme, according to a Singapore Airlines report.

Mr Lim Ching Kiat, CAG’s Senior Vice President for Market Development, said, “We are delighted to partner Singapore Airlines and SilkAir in this initiative which has been very popular among travellers. We hope that travellers will take up this fabulous package so that they will have a chance to sample Singapore's newest tourist attractions, as well as enjoy the premium experience that Changi Airport as well as Singapore Airlines and SilkAir offer."

These rates are valid for Singapore Stopover Holiday bookings to 28 March 2012. Travel is to be completed by 31 March 2012.
