SMRT Engineering dumped by Nakheel on Palm Monorail operation

Nakheel has submitted an early termination to take care of its ongoing restructuring.

SMRT Corporation Ltd announced on Thursday that Nakheel PJSC (Nakheel) is practising an early termination on operations with SMRT Engineering (Middle East) FZE (SMRTE FZE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SMRT Corporation Ltd, an SMRT report said.

The early termination will end the contract for the operation and maintenance of Palm Monorail development in Dubai. The termination will take effect on 5 August 2010.
