ST Engineering’s electronics arm caps 2015 with $435m worth of contracts in 4Q
It pushed its total contract wins to $1.61b.
The engineering firm has ended a prolific year strong, as it secured contracts in 4Q15 for rail electronics, satellite & broadband communications, and ICT solutions.
According to a press release by ST Engineering, rail electronics and intelligent transportation deals secured in 4Q were worth $91m, and were inked from local and overseas customers in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan amongst others.
For satellite communications, ST Electronics received contracts totalling $107m from government, telecom, and enterprise users for the supply of satellite network equipment, earth stations and man-pack terminals, including the launch of Singapore’s first commercial Earth observation satellite.
The press release added that ST Electronics also inked $237 worth of advanced electronics and ICT contracts from both public and private sectors.
“These contracts include provision of Intelligent Security Management System, Operations, Maintenance Support as well as advanced info-communication and sensor systems and services and location-based solutions to government agencies and commercial businesses. These projects will be completed progressively till 2025,” the press release said.
