ST Engineering unit wins $60m smart city platform contract in Lusail, Qatar

ST Engineering Urban Solution will deploy smart city solutions and applications for Lusail’s city-wide operations and management.

ST Engineering’s Urban Solutions business has secured a $60m contract to design, build, and operate a smart city platform with city-wide network connectivity for Lusail, Qatar.

The contract was awarded by Lusail Real Estate Development Company (LREDC), a Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company (Qatari Diar) unit.

ST Engineering Urban Solution’s AGIL® Smart City Operating System (OS) will provide a range of smart city solutions and applications to enhance Lusail’s city-wide operations and management, including its lighting, building, and traffic management systems.

AGIL Smart City OS will deploy an Integrated Asset Management Platform for 24/7 automated city-wide monitoring of critical infrastructure, AI-enhanced workflow automation, and interactive smart applications for residents and visitors.

The project is slated to commence in Q4 2024 and conclude by 2027.
