ISS Facility Services Transforms Workplaces to Connect People and Places

Blending hybrid work models with remote strategies, ISS spearheads dynamic workplace environments by seamlessly integrating biophilic design, advanced technologies, and comprehensive workplace solutions.

Workplaces transcend mere physical spaces; they embody the essence of a holistic work environment. ISS, a workplace experience, and facility management company, embraces the entirety of workplace solution provision as part of its service, orchestrating the entire project by leveraging global strengths from workplace designer ISS Signal and tech powerhouse ISS GITDS. All aspects, from project management to workplace design, technology, and facility services, are focused on optimising workplace planning and improving the overall workplace experience.

Accentuating seamless service delivery within an integrated facilities model, the company has curated a transformative workplace, enhancing effectiveness and efficiency to connect people and places. Leveraging ISS's global strength and tech solutions from its Warsaw powerhouse, the initiative fostered organisational agility, sustained growth, and underscored excellence through a cutting-edge redesign in a dynamic landscape.

The ISS Signal team integrated the OneISS vision of creating workplace environments that WORK, THINK, and GIVE, utilising biophilic design and digital-by-default principles into its transformative plan. ISS’ in-house built applications have been fully integrated within the employee app; MyISS. This integration facilitates effortless management of personalised information, provides access to comprehensive training materials and policies, and includes Convenie; a desk and meeting room reservation system, alongside SAP Concur for streamlined expense claims.

Meanwhile, its community cafe, adorned with real musk plants, promotes relaxation and serves as a nature-inspired hub whilst embracing technology. This space enables live Town Hall sessions, ensuring connectivity for both on-site and remote workers, and fostering a seamless and inclusive collaborative environment.

“Our user-centric workplace design seamlessly integrates workplace solutions, fostering connections for all Placemakers,” ISS said.

The improvements the company made were a resounding success, validated by the results of its employee survey. They recognise their work arrangement as a harmonious blend of remote flexibility and office presence, with satisfaction scores consistently soaring impressively across diverse touchpoints, where employees not only thrive but also forge profound connections with their work and colleagues.

This success has been acknowledged by the SBR International Business Awards 2024, with ISS Facility Services clinching the win in the Building Services & Facilities category.

“This initiative not only showcases our commitment to pioneering the hybrid work model but also propels us towards innovative, inclusive, and sustainable practices. Moreover, it confirms the positive impact on employee engagement and effectiveness. Through these efforts, we have not only elevated our organisation but also set a benchmark for progressive opportunities in the ever-evolving business landscape," the company said.

The prestigious awards programme honours foreign companies in Singapore and recognises the outstanding projects that successfully earned them a foothold in the Lion City.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
