PSB Academy wins at SBR National Business Awards 2025

The Academy took home the Education accolade for its SG$3.5m Diamond Jubilee Education Grants initiative.

PSB Academy, one of the leading private education institutions in Singapore, triumphed at the SBR National Business Awards 2025 with its initiatives that have opened doors for education.

As part of its 60th anniversary celebration in 2024, PSB Academy launched the Diamond Jubilee Education Grants Initiative. This offers SG$3.5m to support around 2,000 Singaporean learners, with a focus on adult learners. As it aligns with the Singapore government's Budget 2024, this initiative aims to unlock the potential of Asia's talent.

The Diamond Jubilee Education Grants help individuals pursue higher education by easing financial challenges. With flexible payment options available, students can spread their payments into multiple instalments.

This initiative builds on PSB Academy’s previous success, including the SG$3m Future Together Initiative that supported nearly 3,000 students during the COVID-19 pandemic. PSB Academy continues to invest in learning opportunities, proving its commitment to shaping a brighter future for individuals and communities.

Aside from the education grants, the institution hosted a series of interactive installations that showcase upskilling and reskilling opportunities for Singaporeans from all walks of life. Held with the theme “Skill Up, Stand Out with PSB Academy,” the event offered visitors a fun and informative experience.

Held at Our Tampines Hub from 19 to 21 July 2024, and Westgate from 7 to 11 August 2024, visitors had the chance to explore a variety of flexible and industry-relevant courses. Attendees could discover PSB Academy's part-time and full-time programmes offered in partnership with leading global universities, covering over 18 disciplines and academic levels from certificates to doctorates.

They were also able to engage with interactive game booths where in-demand skills were taught. Visitors participated in skill-based challenges such as the Diamond Dash, where they tested their fitness on a stationary bike, and Robotics Jewel Heist, where they operated a robotic arm to practice their motor skills. These games enabled participants to discover skills in different fields such as AI, robotics, engineering, media and communications, sports sciences, and health and life sciences.

PSB Academy focusses on lifelong learning and provides industry-relevant programmes. With its diverse courses, it caters to the evolving needs of students and industries.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
