BBC Studios is Keppel REIT's newest tenant in North Sydney asset

It will relocate to a boutique office development, 2 Blue Street (formerly known as Blue & William), in North Sydney.

Keppel REIT Management Limited and Lendlease have announced that BBC Studios Australia will be relocating its Australia and New Zealand headquarters to 2 Blue Street, North Sydney.

BBC Studios Australia will occupy approximately 1,800 square metres on level 3 of the 10-storey building.

The media company will join a roster of other tenants, including global data firm Equifax, Human Synergistics, and rail freight company Pacific National.

Designed by architecture studio Woods Bagot, the building offers features such as a wellness garden, views of Sydney Harbour, and on-site dining at Northbrew Café.

Keppel REIT acquired the property in December 2021, with practical completion achieved in April 2023. Lendlease developed and manages the building, further expanding its commercial presence in North Sydney.

The property is designed to achieve a 5-Star Green Star Design and As Built Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia, as well as a 5.5 Stars National Australian Built Environment Rating System Base Building Energy Rating, both pending certification.

Tom Mackellar, CEO of Development at Lendlease, noted that 2 Blue Street is 80% leased, driven by strong demand for premium workspaces in North Sydney, especially following the opening of the Victoria Cross and new metro station.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
