CDL adds 26,000 sq ft to City Square Mall in $50m expansion

A 15,000 sq ft space houses five social service agencies.

City Developments Limited has launched the upgraded City Square Mall, following a $50m asset enhancement initiative in September 2023.

The 12-storey mall gained approximately 26,000 square feet (sq ft) of additional Gross Floor Area (GFA), enabling more food and beverage tenants.

The additional space was created through the decanting of facilities and the Community & Sports Facilities Scheme, leading to the introduction of CONNECT @ City Square Mall.

CONNECT @ City Square Mall, spanning about 15,000 sq ft, is developed in partnership with the National Council of Social Service and houses five social service agencies.

The additional GFA also allowed the reconfiguration of existing spaces and the extension of atrium slabs from Levels 2 to 4.

Level 4, previously occupied by the mall’s food court, has been converted into Gastro Square, a 24,000 sq ft dining area.

The food court has been relocated to Basement 3 with a retro-themed design.

The redevelopment was carried out in three phases, with the first two completed in the first half of 2025 and the final phase, which included enhancements to City Green park, finished in the first quarter of 2026.
