ESR Group launches Sunview Hub with Japanese consortium

The facility will span approximately 143,000 square metres and is expected to be one of Singapore’s largest logistics sites.

ESR Group has announced the development of the Sunview Logistics & Container Hub, a new multi-storey warehouse and container depot located in the Jurong industrial area.

The facility, which will span approximately 143,000 square metres, is expected to be one of Singapore’s largest logistics sites upon completion in 2027.

The project will be jointly funded by ESR and a consortium of five Japanese investors, including Tokyu Land Corporation, Hulic Co., Ltd., Nishimatsu Construction Co. Ltd., Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd., and RISA Partners, Inc., in partnership with TRI Investment Management.

The Sunview Hub will include a six-storey warehouse and a two-storey automated container depot. It will also feature a 7-megawatt-peak rooftop solar system, intended to reduce operational energy reliance and support sustainability goals.

Anchor tenants confirmed for the development are Allied Container Group and CEVA Logistics. Allied will invest $50m in an automated container storage system with a capacity of 16,000 twenty-foot equivalent units.

The system is expected to reduce land use by 67%, increase storage capacity by 30%, and cut truck turnaround times by more than 66%.

CEVA Logistics will use the new facility to expand its contract logistics operations in the west of Singapore. With this addition, CEVA will operate 18 logistics sites in the country, totalling 370,000 square metres.

The project is intended to support Singapore’s logistics infrastructure and accommodate growing demand related to the Tuas Mega Port and regional supply chain activity.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
