GuocoLand posts 13% YoY net profit growth in H1 2025

Earnings per share stood at $0.0588.

GuocoLand reported a 13% year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit to $74.6m in H1 2025 from $66.2m a year ago.

This increase was due to the construction progress of the substantially sold development properties in Singapore and higher contributions from investment properties.

Earnings per share stood at $0.0588, up 15% YoY from $0.0513 in H1 2024.

On the flip side, revenue for the period slipped 5% YoY to $$1.01b partly due to the timing of progressive revenue recognition from the Property Development business in Singapore, as well as lower sales from China.

Meanwhile, gross profit grew 16% YoY to $247.9m and operating profit grew 35% YoY to $214.5m.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
