Here are the five worst-performing REITs of 2014

Hospitality and industrial trusts dominate the list.

The worst performing S-REITs of 2014 came mostly from the industrial and hospitality segments. According to OSK DMG, hospitality REITs were particularly hard-hit by the steep decline in tourist arrivals.

Lippo Retail Trust was the worst performing REIT with a price performance of -17.7%. This was followed by Sabana Industrial REIT, which recorded an average return of -12.2%.

Saizen REIT came in third with a price performance of -7%, followed by Ascendas Hospitality REIT at -6.8%. Cambridge Industrial Trust completed the bottom five with an average return of -2.2%.
