Mapletree launches first debt offering of the year with $625m perpetual bond issue

It has received orders worth over $800 million.

Mapletree Investments has launched and priced S$625 million principal amount of 4.50% perpetual securities, which marks the first public Singapore dollar debt capital market transaction of the year.

The offering is part of the group's US$5 billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme. The securities will be issued in denominations of $250,000 and will be first callable at the issuer's option on 19 January 2022.

Mapletree has received orders worth over S$800 million with participation from about 60 high quality investors.

DBS Bank Ltd. and HSBC are joint lead managers for the transaction.
