Prime US REIT appoints new board chairman

Professor Annie Koh has announced her retirement from the position.

Prime US REIT has appointed Richard Peter Bren as Chairman of the Board of Directors, following the retirement of the current chairman Professor Annie Koh effective 28 February 2025.

Koh was said to be retiring ‘to focus on other commitments.’

Bren will take over the position of Chairman of the Board effective 1 March 2025. Bren is a Non-Executive Director of Prime US REIT Management Pte. Ltd, the manager of Prime US REIT, since 22 July 2022. He is a shareholder of KBS Asia Partners Pte. Ltd., Prime US REIT’s sponsor, which holds 40% of the shares of the Manager.

As Managing Member since 2004 of Wave Hill Investors, LLC, Bren was a portfolio manager for multiple institutional funds investing in various specialty finance and real estate strategies.

Meanwhile, Prime US REIT’s manager has also appointed John Robert French as the Lead Independent Director starting 1 March 2025. He will also be appointed as a member of the Nominating and Remuneration Committee and will continue in his current role as the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
