Chart of the Day: Total trade reached S$80b in July

On a m-o-m SA basis, total trade declined by 4.6 per cent in July 2012, following the 1.3 per cent decrease in the previous month. On a SA basis, the level of total trade reached S$80 billion in July 2012. Total exports contracted by 3.7 per cent in July 2012, compared to the marginal 0.2 per cent increase in the preceding month. Total imports contracted by 5.5 per cent in July 2012, after the 2.9 per cent decline in the previous month.
