COTD: Business sentiment index dips in Q2

Across sectors, Banking & Insurance and Real Estate Activities sectors are more upbeat.

Singapore’s Business Sentiment Index decreased by 1.1 pts during the second quarter of the year despite Singapore’s positive economic performance in Q1.

According to an SBF report, external uncertainties affected local business sentiment, particularly amongst small and medium-sized firms, whose outlook softened by 1.2 pts.

Across sectors, Banking & Insurance and Real Estate Activities sectors are more upbeat.

Meanwhile, Professional Services, Admin & Support Service Activities, and Hotels, Restaurants & Accommodations sectors are less positive.
