COTD: How has Singaporeans’ household financial situation changed?

About two in 10 said it has gotten worse.

The majority (60%) of Singaporeans said their household's financial situation was unchanged from last month, but that was not the case for some (21%) who saw theirs worsen.

The worsening household financial situation was evident amongst baby boomers (24%), followed by gen x (23%). 

In the next 12 months, 19% of Singaporeans expect their household's financial situation to worsen.

This sentiment was evident amongst workers in the legal industry, with 27% saying they expect a negative change in their household finances.

Behind the legal industry were real estate (23%), manufacturing (22%), education (22%), and financial services (21%).
