SBF forges initiative to help businesses venture globally

It hqas partnered with UOB and Keppel Land to ease the internationalisation process.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) has facilitated the overseas ventures by 15 Singapore small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through its initiative, GlobalConnect@SBF, despite the economic downturn from the previous year.

SBF also signed up UOB and Keppel Land as strategic partners to ease the internationalisation process for SMEs.

Since its launch in November 2019, GlobalConnect@SBF has assisted more than 2,500 Singapore businesses.

“We are seeking to go beyond just helping businesses learn about new markets and making overseas connections. GlobalConnect@SBF is a unique programme that will enable businesses to not only learn about new markets but also land successfully overseas with the help of SBF and our strategic partners,” SBF assistant chief executive officer Darius Lim said.

Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing graced the signing ceremony of the partnerships and met several business owners that successfully ventured overseas with SBF's assistance.
