PropNex names new independent director, reshuffles board committees

Danny Lim joins the board amidst the company’s restructuring.

PropNex has appointed Danny Lim Teck Chai as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 July, according to a company filing.

Lim will serve as chairman of the remuneration committee and as a member of the audit and nominating committees. The board said it considers him independent under Singapore Exchange listing rules.

The appointment is accompanied by changes to board committee leadership.

Ahmad Bin Mohamed Magad will become chairman of the audit committee. He will step down as chairman of the remuneration committee but will remain a member of that committee and continue as lead independent director, according to the company filing.

Following the changes, the audit committee will be chaired by Ahmad Bin Mohamed Magad, with Pebble Sia Huei-Chieh and Lim as members.

The remuneration committee will be chaired by Lim, with Ahmad Bin Mohamed Magad and Sia Huei-Chieh as members.

The nominating committee will continue to be chaired by Sia Huei-Chieh, with Ahmad Bin Mohamed Magad and Lim as members.

The board comprises executive chairman Mohamed Ismail S/O Abdul Gafoore, executive director and CEO Kelvin Fong Keng Seong, lead independent director Ahmad Bin Mohamed Magad, independent director Sia Huei-Chieh, and independent director Danny Lim.
