Bugis Junction and Bugis+ to launch WeChat Pay services in outlets

They are anticipating Chinese tourists in Singapore during the Golden Week holidays.

Bugis Junction and Bugis+ will roll out cashless payment services across their retail and F&B outlets through a partnership with WeChat Pay.

According to an announcement, Bugis Junction and Bugis+ will be the first malls in Singapore to accept WeChat Pay as a mobile payment platform. The mall will offer rewards including virtual money packets and cashback coupons.

Bugis Junction and Bugis+ tenants will roll out exclusive promotions with WeChat Pay from 21 September to 31 October 2018 and other promotions till 31 December 2018.

“Given our central location and trendy offerings, Bugis Junction and Bugis+ are particularly popular with young Chinese tourists. We are thus delighted to partner with WeChat Pay to serve the needs of this growing customer segment,” said Ivy Ang, general manager of Bugis Junction and Bugis+. “Together with WeChat Pay, we will offer exclusive campaigns tailored for young Chinese travellers in Singapore.

The malls are expecting Chinese tourists, especially millennials, to come in Singapore during the upcoming Golden Week holidays in China.
