Liquid Group partners with JETCO to offer Singapore-Hong Kong cross-border QR payments

Eligible customers can pay for purchases using QR payment apps.

Regional mobile payment services firm Liquid Group has teamed up with Joint Electronic Teller Services (JETCO) to enable cross-border QR payment between Singapore and Hong Kong, an announcement revealed.

With the opening of the Singapore–Hong Kong corridor for QR payments, customers of Liquid Group’s partner banks will be able to pay for their purchases using their respective QR payment apps at participating merchants in Hong Kong. Likewise, customers of participating member banks under JETCO will be able to make payment using their QR bank apps at participating merchants in Singapore.

Liquid Group will also work with JETCO to provide additional value-added services to help member banks deliver more services to their customers, as well as enable merchants in both Hong Kong and Singapore to launch multiple marketing campaigns with participating payment apps without the need for additional cashier training or verification during checkout.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
