COE prices rocket in all categories

1,618 bids were successful in the October bid exercise.

In a release, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) received 2,254 bids at the end of the October second open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Of these, 1,618 were successful.

The COE for small cars (Cars 1,600cc and below) increased 2.9% or S$71,001 from S$69,000 in the previous bidding exercise.

The premium for big cars (Cars 1,601cc and above) rose by 7.2% to S$85,801 from S$80,001.

Premium for goods vehicles and buses inched higher by 3.4% to S$57,889 from S$56,001.

Lastly, for motorcycles, the premium edged up 0.4% or to S$1,920, from S$1,912.

COE results for previous bidding exercises can be found on the “Facts and Figures” section of the One.Motoring website (https://www.onemotoring.com.sg).

Bidders can use the Temporary Certificates of Entitlement (TCOEs) obtained from this bidding exercise upon receipt of the TCOE notification letters. The non-transferable TCOEs will be valid till 30 April 2013. The transferable TCOEs will be valid till 31 January 2013. TCOEs issued to companies are not transferable.

Successful applicants will be notified within the week. The COE bid deposits of unsuccessful applicants will be credited into their bank accounts by their respective banks.
