ISCA, PICPA join hands to train chartered accountants in the Philippines

Singapore is one of the Philippines’ major trading partners and top sources of foreign direct investment inflows.

The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) to train chartered accountants coming from the Philippines.

ISCA’s partnership with PICPA aims to develop accountancy talents and provide upskilling opportunities for accountancy professionals in the Philippines.

Offered programmes developed in Singapore are aligned with international standards, equipping accountancy professionals with significant competencies to meet the industry’s demands.

ISCA and PICPA will also offer joint-membership pathways, joint events, and conferences aimed at promoting the attractiveness of the accountancy profession.

The collaboration aims to grow and strengthen the accounting profession and businesses in both countries.

“We are very pleased to be able to mark another milestone in ISCA’s efforts to develop the accountancy profession across the region,” Ms Gladeys Jill A. Santos, ISCA Philippines Chapter Chairperson, said.

The Philippines has over 1 million business enterprises and 1,430 accounting firms.
