Raffles Medical Group launches first app-based COVID-19 test booking

Travellers can book their PCR tests ahead of travel plans.

As Singapore opens its borders and prepares for the first-ever air travel bubble flight with Hong Kong, Raffles Medical Group has announced the launch of the first app-based booking, payment and receipt of COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests in Singapore, through its Raffles Connect platform.

The conditions for the bubble flight require at least three COVID-19 tests at various stages in the journey.

The app is currently available for travellers in Singapore. Individuals are able to pre-book their appointments for the COVID-19 PCR test and head to any Raffles Medical clinics for the test

Payment for the tests and receipt of individual test results will all be available on the same platform in-app and results for the COVID-19 PCR tests will be available within 24-36 hours of administration of the test.

Travellers will also receive the physical copy of their test results from the respective clinics as aligned with the guidelines from the relevant authorities.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
