Almost 4,000 new hotel rooms to flood Singapore’s hospitality market in 2015

On back of 1,773 new additions in 2014.

Hotel operators’ revenues will be compressed in 2015 with almost 4,000 new hotel rooms expected to flood the hospitality market this year.

According to JLL, approximately 3,899 rooms are expected to enter the accommodation market in 2015, comprising mostly upscale and midscale hotels.

This is on back of 1,773 new rooms that have been added to the hospitality segment in 2014.

Some of the major hotel openings include the 654-room South Beach Hotel and Club, the n500-room Jurong LAke Hotel, the 300-room Park Hotel Farrer Park and the 15-room Patina Capitol Singapore, which will be in the first PAtina Hotel in Asia. Dusit Thani and Villa Samadhi are also likely to open in 2015.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
