Daily Briefing: Botanic Gardens named World Heritage Site; Singapore has world’s third-best skyline

And see this creepy tour of Old Changi Hospital.

  • According to real estate management firm Emporis, Hong Kong, with 7,794 buildings and 133,531 points, has the world's best skyline, followed by New York City, Singapore, Moscow, and Seoul. Read more here
  • The World Heritage Committee meeting in Bonn also granted the status to two sites in Iran -- the troglodyte settlements of Maymand and the ancient city of Susa -- as well as Singapore's Botanical Gardens and the Great Burkhan Khaldun Mountain sacred landscape in Mongolia. Read more here
  • Any self-respecting Singaporean would have heard of Old Changi Hospital — and the terrors associated with it. The tales are endless, and have spooked us all at some point or another. You might have heard of them from friends during your NS days, or spoke of them yourself over the campfire at school camps. The scariest part, of course, is that no one really knows if the stories are true. Find out more here

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
