Singapore passport is amongst world’s most powerful

Four other countries hold the same power as a Singaporean passport.

Passports issued by Singapore, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain are the most powerful in the world.

According to the Henley Passport Index, the six destinations have visa-free access to 194 of 227 countries.

South Korea, Finland, and Sweden share the 2nd place in the index with access to 193 countries, whilst Austria, Denmark, Ireland, and the Netherlands share 3rd place with access to 192.

Sitting in 4th place is the UK, with access to 191 destinations, up from just 188 a year ago.

Meanwhile, Greece, Malta, and Switzerland share the 5th spot with 190.

Afghanistan ranks last with visa-free access to only 28 countries.

Last year, Singapore was alone at the top spot with visa-free access to 192 destinations, whilst Germany, Italy, and Spain shared the 2nd place with 190.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
