2 in 3 Singaporean financial services professionals mulling leaving jobs

Demand for financial services professionals shoots up by 76% in the country.

More than 2 in 3 Singapore financial services (FS) professionals are thinking about moving jobs in 2022 professional recruitment and consultancy firm Robert Walters revealed.

This may have triggered demand in hiring FS professionals in Singapore as according to Robert Walter’s Hiring Trends in the World’s Leading Financial Services Cities report, demand for FS professionals has increased to 76%.

Singapore’s FinTech payment space is expected to see a significant increase in hiring as the segment is slated to rebound amidst the resumption of global travel and overseas tourism

“In 2022, FS firms will need to hire more hybrid talent, such as professionals skilled in both technology and operations. Compliance talent in particular, will be in high demand, as new FinTech and digital banking businesses open in Singapore, and draw talent away from more traditional banking and fund management sectors,” the report said.

The report said that Singapore has 250,000 FS professionals, trumping global leader London.
