More than 7 in 10 Singapore executive assistants feel they’re underpaid

Due partly to day-to-day responsibilities.

Singapore executive assistants (EAs) are feeling overworked and underpaid, according to a survey of 500 EAs by recruitment consultancy Page Personnel.

The survey shows that more than 8 in 10 (84%) EAs endured an increased workload in the past year.

Further, over 7 in 10 (72%) feel insufficiently rewarded, partly due to day-to-day responsibilities.

In addition, more than half (51%) feel undervalued at work.

The survey also reveals that the lack of autonomy in decision-making reported by over 6 in 10 (62%) EAs could be a factor behind this sentiment.
