New year, new work: 3 in 10 Singaporeans plan to switch jobs in 2024

Most workers planning a job shift are from the hospitality and education sectors.

Several Singaporeans (31%) plan to look for a new job next year, data from Indeed showed.

Most workers planning a job shift are from the hospitality (38%), education (38%) and tourism (34%) sectors. 

Of those who plan to change companies, 39% report physically and not working remotely.

Amongst reasons for a career change include not having career progression in their workplaces (48%), negative workplace culture (47%), and engagement in chaotic work (22%).
