SingTel as innovative as Facebook, Amazon: survey

13% of Singapore bosses think SingTel is one of the leading innovators.

According to KPMG Technology Innovation Survey 2012, Apple leads the rankings as the top innovative company with respondents from the US, China Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, Russia and Singapore all crowning the Cupertino-based company as king of tech.

Apple’s former chief executive officer (CEO) Steve Jobs was named by 11 percent of respondents as the top innovation visionary. Other visionaries mentioned include Tim Cook, who now leads Apple, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg.

In Singapore, Apple was viewed by 63 percent of executives surveyed as the top innovative company. Google and Microsoft tied for second place with each company gathering 25 percent of votes.

SingTel, a Singapore company, also ranked as a leading innovator with 13 percent of respondents in Singapore choosing it as a top innovative company. Both Facebook and Amazon each obtained 13 percent of votes from respondents in Singapore.
