S’pore-based Igloo expands Weather Index Insurance coverage in Vietnam

The insurance will be integrated with Mobifone's agricultural application, MobiAgri.

Insurtech company, Igloo, has partnered with Vietnam-based Aurora Mobility Solutions and Mobifone to further the reach of its Weather Index Insurance to more farmers in the country.

The collaboration aims to expand Igloo's Weather Index Insurance to benefit farmers across Vietnam, addressing the increasing threat of extreme weather events. 

Deployed across 18 provinces and cities, the product utilises a network of automatic rain stations and hydrometeorological stations to protect farmers.

Through the partnership, the insurance will be integrated with Mobifone's agricultural application, MobiAgri, offering advanced solutions for agricultural development. 

MobiFone subscribers can access the insurance product and other incentives for a daily fee, ensuring maximum compensation in case of an insurance claim.
